You Just Never Know

The happiest on the outside
Nothing can make them sad, angry, cry
The most obvious purpose of pain envelops
The inside hidden behind a façade so honest so sturdy so emotionless
The hurt the pain the anger builds
And has no way to escape
Because the happiness, the zeal for life, coating the outside,
has hardened into a nonporous surface which protects like a fortress wall
Locking reality away
Never to be seen, touched, acknowledged
Then there is an explosion of perpetual death leaving utter shock and dismay
Where the fortress wall stood strong
